The Sellers Dorsey Foundation is dedicated to improving the lives of underserved communities—particularly eliminating healthcare disparities and improving healthcare outcomes—through grantmaking, public education initiatives, and collaboration with other charitable organizations.

Our Purpose

The promise of healthcare and the reality of it are still too far apart for many.

A safety net exists—and, unfortunately, it does not always catch everyone it was meant to serve. Barriers in access, trust, and cultural understanding continue to leave individuals and communities navigating care on their own.

The Sellers Dorsey Foundation exists to help close that gap by investing philanthropically in work that reaches beyond the traditional boundaries of the healthcare system.

Through grantmaking, public education, and collaboration with like-minded, diverse organizations, we support leaders who are expanding access to care and improving health outcomes. We believe some of the most important work has yet to be fully imagined—and we are committed to supporting the ideas and leaders willing to explore it.

The Sellers Dorsey Foundation is committed to ensuring more people are met with care that reflects their communities’ needs and personal realities.

Because a safety net is meant to catch everyone. Until it does, the Foundation will be here.
